What is the Haikyuu Trans Big Bang?
The Haikyuu Trans Big Bang is a Big Bang fan event centered around trans character headcanons of the manga/anime series Haikyuu!! by Furudate Haruichi.
Will nonbinary people be included in this bang?
We will be including nonbinary as part of the trans umbrella in this big bang. While we are aware that some nonbinary people do not identify as trans, we do not want to exclude those that do.
Will ships be allowed?
Yes, ships will be allowed as long as the main focus of the fic is on a trans character.
Will NSFW be allowed?
This bang will be an entirely SFW bang with the caveat that we are allowing explorations of darker topics (such as mental health issues, etc.). No explicit/sexual topics will be allowed in the bang.
What is the creation minimum?
Writers must write at least 5k words for their fic, while artist must complete at least 1 colored piece.
How do I join the Bang? Can anyone join?
Anyone of any skill level is allowed to join the Bang as long as they are willing to commit to finishing a full piece! If you wish to join, you will need to submit an applicant as either a writer, artist, pinch hitter, or beta once the apps are available. Applications will be released on April 16th.
Is Discord required to join?
Yes, as we will be doing a majority of our communication through Discord, having a Discord account is required to join the Bang.
Do I need to have a Twitter or Tumblr to participate?
No, Twitter and Tumblr are not required to participate. However, you should have somewhere to post your finished piece.
Can I apply as more than one type of contributor (artist or writer)?
Yes, you can sign up for a max of two pieces. This means that you can sign up to illustrate two pieces, write two pieces, or complete one of each.
Can I sign up with a friend as a prearranged pair?
Yes, prearranged pairs will be allowed so long as you let a mod know once you join the Discord server!
How will partners be assigned?
Mods will be assigning the partners after the Summary Selection period. Artists and betas will be asked to submit which fics they would most like to illustrate/edit and will be assigned to a writer based on the submitted preferences.
Do you have any requirements for size or programs used when making the artwork?
Artists need to complete one fully colored piece with a background. For traditional art, photos/scans must be reasonably high quality. Other than that, there are no requirements, so feel free to work with whatever size/program you think is best.
What is a pinch hitter?
A pinch hitter is someone who steps in to fill a role when another participant drops out. They are someone who’s able to help out in a pinch.
Can minors participate in the Bang?
Yes, minors can definitely participate in the Bang!

GENERAL GUIDELINES
What is the minimum word count?
The minimum word count for writers is 5k. There is no maximum/upper limit to how much you write, but remember that the piece must be finished by the post date.
What is the minimum creation for artists?
The minimum creation for artists is a full colored illustration.
Is signing up for multiple roles allowed?
Participants may sign-up for more than one role, but not more than two. Artists can claim more than one summary if the numbers allow it.
How long is the creation period?
The creation period will be about 5 months. For a more detailed break-down, check out the schedule.
GENERAL RULES:
— All fics and art must be newly created for the HQ Trans Big Bang.
— Plagiarism will result in an immediate drop from the project.
— Pieces should not be shared publicly before the Bang’s official posting dates.
— Respect all participants. No hate speech or personal attacks will be tolerated.
— Mods will be keeping a close eye, specifically, on transphobia, transmisogyny, and exclusionism
